Conveyor Splicing
There are various reasons that you may want or require a belt to be spliced. The methods used depend on the type of operation and the materials being conveyed.
Here are some of the splice types:
Plied Endless
Used on belts with multi-plied construction. All belts are hot vulcanized endless to ensure a strong sanitary joint.
Plied Prepared Endless
The laps are prepared exactly and protected from the elements for your use. The belts can be hot or cold vulcanized in the field.
Finger Spliced
Used Primarily in thermo plastic style belting. Fingers will vary in length and design depending on the belt style. The splice is almost invisible when completed.
Skived
Used on some PVC belting and most nylon core belting. Belts can be made endless or prepared for field splicing.
Longitudinal Splice
Most belts can be made to unlimited widths. Style of splice and splice per width is determined by style of belt.
