Conveyor Splicing stocks both new and recycled heavy industrial belting.
Heavy Industrial
It is usually shipped in roll form and can weigh anywhere from a few hundred pounds to several thousand. A typical order for belting is usually around 6,000 lbs. Generally, the belt goes through a "refabrication" process before it is installed at a customer's site.
Light Industrial
Although Conveyor Splicing Specialties focuses mainly on the heavy industrial belting industry, we will also provide light industrial belting needs as well. light industrial belts can come in various fabrics and mesh types.
Typical Heavy Belt Cross Section
We normally refer to belt "plies" and "covers". The illustration above shows a 3 PLY belt. Each ply consists of a carcass layer with a skim layer. A skim layer is simply an extra layer of thin rubber for additional strength.
